Every day is a pizza party at Mike’s Peckham, a Roman-style pizza restaurant in the heart of South East London. Mike’s can be found in Peckham's Copeland Park & Bussey Building which is home to numerous artists, restaurants, bars, cinemas and independent businesses.
But if it’s a private pizza party you’re planning, there are three areas open for exclusive hire for everything from birthdays to private dinners, weddings, team-building events and product launches.
The main restaurant is fully covered indoors and can be hired for up to 45 people seated, or 65 standing, for medium to large groups. It features modular tables that can easily be rearranged to suit any formation you require – whether it’s one large table for a more sociable vibe or a few separate tables to allow people to chat to each other easily. The restaurant space also features a separate music system that can easily be connected up to your own device, but if not, the team are happy to propose a playlist from their own records. It also includes use of the main bar and unisex toilets.
Mike’s Peckham also has its own outdoor terrace, featuring wooden decking and trailing ivy on the supporting beams, which can be hired for large gatherings. The space holds up to 60 guests seated, or 80 standing, and offers infra-red heating and total rain cover should the heavens open (this is the UK, after all). There is a range of seating, including booth seats, a music system, a service bar and unisex toilet.
Meanwhile, for slightly smaller groups, the sunken garden hosts a maximum of 30 guests (45 standing) and would be perfect for warmer days during the summer months. This area is uncovered and features black-painted decking and orange seating for an urban-feel outdoor setting.
Guests can dine on its 48-hour fermented sourdough pizzas (ordered by the slice) featuring a range of toppings: roasted delica pumpkin, guanciale and pecorino, house porchetta, potatoes, red pepper and caramelised red onion, robiola, honey and walnuts.
