Are you planning an event to celebrate a special occasion? Or do you need somewhere to bring together a group of colleagues? Whatever the occasion of your upcoming event, the Chelsea based Indian restaurant, Kutir, is ready and waiting for you. The restaurant is one of the most loved in the area, and is brought to you by Rohit Ghai and Abhishake Sangwan. Kutir is housed in a beautiful townhouse that showcases true London charm from its exterior, and beautiful tales of India's rich lands inside. The decor reflects the stunning wildlife and forestry of India and its mountainscapes, with rich jewel tones and textured patterns.
There are a range of spaces at Kutir that are suitable for your next event. The Sariska is the bigger of the two individually designed private dining rooms, with space for 12 to 14 of your guests. Smaller in size, but just as beautiful, the Ranthambore (which is available between November and March), has a capacity for eight to nine guests. Giving the room an extra element of charm, the space overlooks the restaurant's rooftop courtyard, where you can enjoy terrace drinks throughout your event. If you still need an even bigger space, you can talk to the restaurant about hiring the ground floor Conservatory or look at total venue hire.
From the a la carte menu, we'd suggest guests order the chicken with harissa, dried lemon, red chilli and palm vinegar to begin, or the masala prawns with roscoff onion, coconut, sesame and peanut. Onto the main dishes, you've got choices of classics like chicken tikka masala or duck madras, or can go for something a bit more experimental and choose the lamb shank with artichoke, black cardamom, bone marrow and chokha.
