Klosterhaus is one of the largest and most glamorous restaurant venues in Bristol, with three stunning indoor events spaces available for exclusive hire as well as an outside sunken terrace and bar. Part of the D&D restaurant group, Klosterhaus promises spectacular interiors that will make any event here feel extra special, while the menu is Mittel-European inspired and curated by executive head chef Bjorn Wassmuth in homage to his German roots.
If you’re planning an event in Bristol and need a venue that possesses real wow-factor, then Klosterhaus should be top of the list. Its most impressive and largest space is Cutler’s Hall on the first floor, which boasts its own private entrance and can seat parties of up to 100 people, or if you’re planning a standing event then 170 is the limit. This room is flooded with natural daylight and features an arched ceiling with original beams that inject the space with a sense of history, while a bar makes it suitable for both sit-down dinners and standing receptions.
Baker’s Hall is a similarly traditional, yet slightly smaller space, with a capacity of 60 seated or 100 standing. This room can be engineered to suit the type of event at hand, with the option to choose one large table or six smaller round tables for guests to dine at. Finally, the Hanover Room is Klosterhaus’ smallest space, but perhaps the most intriguing, thanks to its red-washed decor. This intimate space is a good option for private dinners of between 16 and 30 guests. For very large parties and special occasions, it’s possible to hire Klosterhaus in its entirety for up to 260 people for a seated event, or 350 standing.
Finally, don’t miss the gorgeous Sunken Terrace if you’d like to add an alfresco element to your event. This space can hold up to 70 for a standing reception and is equipped with a dedicated bar and heaters, but also offers access to Baker’s Hall if you’d like to hire both in conjunction with each other.
