General manager of 15Hatfields, Warren Campbell, has been shortlisted for the title of Sustainability Champion in Greengage’s 2022 Sustainability Awards.

A multi-purpose venue located in London’s South Bank area, 15Hatfields prides itself on its values of sustainability, creativity, and efficiency.

Having played a leading role in both 15Hatfields’ creation in 2008 and its growth ever since, Warren Campbell has been a crucial figure in building the venue up into its now key role as one of central London’s leading sustainable destinations. A spokesperson for the venue described Campbell as repeatedly demonstrating 'an infectious and genuine passion for sustainability' throughout his 14 years working at 15Hatfields.

On the subject of his shortlisting, Campbell said 'It’s a huge honour not only for me but for my entire committed team, who work tirelessly to adopt new practices and technologies to streamline the venue’s environmental impact. It’s fantastic that this work has been formally recognised by Greengage.'

Moving forwards, Campbell and the team at 15Hatfields are working to make their venue the first in the UK to be entirely palm oil free – part of their commitment to meeting the UN’s 2015 Sustainability Goals.

Though this project is still ongoing, Campbell is persevering with his mission, publicly platforming his efforts to make 15Hatfields palm oil free. Sharing the venue’s progress with others in the industry as part of a philosophy of transparency and communication, Campbell hopes for 15Hatfields to continue as a leading and inspiring force of sustainability across the industry.

The winner of the Sustainability Champion title and more will be announced at the Greengage Insights and 2022 Sustainability Awards on 8 November 2022, at The Marylebone Hotel in London, where Campbell and his team will no doubt hope to be recognised for their longstanding commitment to sustainability in the events industry.
