Believed to be one of the first Italian restaurants in London, this much-loved venue has been serving residents and visitors since 1946. Its classically assured character reflects its Jermyn Street location, a milieu of gentlemen’s tailoring, private clubs and art galleries, while its menus embody the tradition of fine Italian cooking.
With exclusive venue hire and private dining options, Franco’s can happily cater for meetings, dinners, receptions and most other types of event with ease. Each private dining space can be set up to suit your requirements, whether it’s a board room style layout for a private meeting or a set of smaller tables for a birthday or retirement dinner, plus necessary equipment can be provided. The entire restaurant is air conditioned for hot summer days and facilities include wifi, laptop connection, a cloakroom and a dedicated smoking area outside.
We especially like the Wine Cellar on the lower ground floor, with its warm wooden floors and aged bottles lining the walls. This room is ideal for meetings or private meals for up to 14 guests around one long table. The lower ground floor is also home to The Mirror Room, a semi-private space that can accommodate up to 16 guests on one long table or 30 over two tables.
If it’s a large party you’re throwing, or you require complete privacy, there’s the option to hire out the restaurant exclusively. With the flexible space spread over two floors – with seating for 70 on the ground floor and 50 on the lower ground floor – a bar area, and an outside terrace, Franco’s can offer a variety of options for your event. The team can also assist with flower arrangements, live music provision and wine tasting events.
There are no set menus for private events, so guests are free to choose from the a la carte menu. Alternatively, you can order from the canapé menu ahead of time (48 hours’ notice is required for this option). Either way, you can be sure of delicious Italian fare that your guests are sure to remember.
