Located in the trendy dining district of Butler’s Wharf and boasting excellent views of the river and Tower Bridge, Cantina del Ponte is the perfect location for an event or party. This rustic Italian trattoria offers guests and diners simply cooked classic dishes, with bread and pasta made in-house. From intimate ten-person dinners to huge 200-guest drinks receptions, Cantina del Ponte is well-equipped to meet your exact event needs. There are also fun events like pasta masterclasses, where the head chef will teach you and your guests to make truly authentic Italian pasta. This also works extremely well for teambuilding.
Group dining is available for ten to 45 guests, with the option of a glass of prosecco and canapes on the terrace beforehand. For larger seated meals and events, the restaurant can be hired in its entirety, allowing for up to 100 seated guests or 200 standing. Aside from prosecco, there is a choice of Italian aperitivi for you and your guests to sip upon arrival, such as Aperol spritz, negronis or floral gin concoctions. For celebrations, champagne and sparkling wine are available, alongside Italian reds and whites to enjoy with the food.
Seated events can kick off with traditional Italian dishes like calamari, beef carpaccio, arancini, meatballs or burrata with artichoke and sun-dried tomato pesto. After the antipasto, you and your guests can enjoy pasta or risotto-based primi, including mushroom risotto, lasagne, tortellini or gnocchi with nduja and taleggio. The more substantial secondi at Cantina del Ponte feature options like a roasted Welsh lamb rump, pan-fried breaded tuna or a sea bass casserole with shrimps, wild mushroom and herbs. For a special meal, why not choose ‘la gran carbonara, a two-person carbonara served in a pecorino wheel? No Italian meal would be complete without tiramisu, but there is also a chocolate pannacotta, apple pie or a selection of house ice cream and sorbet.
