Halfway between Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road is Arros QD, a modern restaurant serving Spanish-Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on rice-based dishes. One of the restaurant's unique selling points has got to be its six-metre stove, on which dishes including paella, tomahawk steaks and flame-grilled octopus are cooked. The menu changes seasonally and champions local British ingredients to ensure each plate heroes the freshest possible produce.
The Bird Room is a semi-private space located on the ground floor, with a capacity of 20 seated or 25 standing, that allows guests a touch of extra privacy without feeling too removed from the buzz of the restaurant. Akin to the main dining space, the décor is dark and moody, with tiled walls and red Persian rugs to bring a warm and homely feel.
The Chef’s Table is less private (it’s located in the main restaurant) but can be hired exclusively for groups of up to 12 people for a gourmet dining affair.
For drinks and canape receptions in a comfortable setting, The Lounge is kitted out with plush red sofas and warm lighting for groups of 30 (standing), while The Light Room, although still cosy, offers multiple light fixtures to create a bright space for anything from sit-down dinners to specially-tailored events. This room holds a maximum of 56 seated, or 70 standing. There’s also the option to hire the entire venue for up to 190 people.
The wine list pays tribute to multiple Mediterranean regions, from Spain to France, Italy and Greece, to New World and sweet wines. While cocktails feature the likes of Pedro Fizz (Pedro Ximenez Sweet Wine, Amaretto Di Saronno, Black Walnuts Bitter and Cava), Watermelon & Basil (Volcan de mi Tierra Tequila, Watermelon, Basil Syrup, Lime Juice and Cava) and Arros Punch (Hennessy Cognac, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, Blend of Forest Fruits, Mint and Cava).
