This family-owned Belgravia landmark quickly became an icon in the city when it opened in 1910 as the royals took a particular fancy to it. The luxury five-star hotel not only boasts regal art deco design with rich accents (rather festive, we think), but a handful of flexible spaces for Christmas parties.
From smaller private rooms for dinners or meetings, to larger spaces for a party, The Goring’s room will impress your guests. So will the traditional festive decorations, which are always on point – they’re the sort that makes you feel like you’re visiting a grand aunt’s stately home for the holidays.
Choose between The Boardroom, The Drawing Room, The Garden Room and The Silver Room for your event. If you are thinking of having an internal board meeting before you kick off your celebrations, The Boardroom offers seclusion (it’s on the fourth floor), a stylish backdrop (we find the design striking) and state-of-the-art technology.
If private dining is on the agenda, head to The Drawing Room or The Silver Room. Both were recently given a revamp and transformed by some stunning, intricately woven wallpaper and heavy drapes. Top-quality silverware and luxurious design features add further appeal.
The Silver Room is the most intimate of the two (it fits eight) and is also located near The Dining Room (The Goring’s Michelin-starred restaurant), which means fabulous food is on offer. This, as well as the antique dining table and the Edwardian chandeliers make this our pick of the bunch.
For larger celebrations, head to The Garden Room, which has its own conservatory area with a sliding wall of glass that leads out into The Goring Gardens. Imagine how pretty it would be if the garden was covered in snow? The AV in this room is also knock-out with the option of a projector being put up.
