Part of the Megaro Hotel, found just minutes away from the hubbub of King’s Cross station, Magenta is a Northern Italian restaurant which can be booked for both festive meals and exclusive Christmas parties.
When it comes to Christmas celebrations, whether they be personal festivities with friends or an office party with your colleagues, you want to choose a venue that people will remember. The dining room at Magenta is a truly striking space, which is sure to thrill your Christmas party guests; designed by renowned British artist and designer Henry Chebaane, the look of the space reflects the 19th century heritage of the building in which it is housed. There is a warm and cosy colour palette of coal, steel and oak, supplemented by fabrics boasting a lively magenta hue. The piece de resistance however, is the installation of thousands of pink and silver butterflies which hang from the ceiling, creating that extra touch of theatrical magic.
Aside from the main dining room, Magenta is also home to an exclusive private dining space known as The Mauve - done out in the style of a private train carriage, this room is ideal for intimate Christmas dinners, seating up to 12 guests at any one time, and also boasts its own dedicated cocktail bar that is perfect for serving up warming winter tipples such as a Hot Toddy.
The kitchen at Magenta is headed up by executive head chef Manuele Bazzoni, formerly of Mayfair’s Le Boudin Blanc and Trinity in Clapham. Here, he has curated a Northern Italian inspired menu which balances classic, homespun Italian dishes with tempting seasonal and festival specials. To help you get in the, ahem, Christmas spirit, you can also take advantage of Magenta’s impressive drinks list, which includes no less than 78 varieties of Italian wines.
