Met a colleague for a bite and some wine – fabulous little place located beneath the Camino Restaurant on Blackfriars. A little challenge in finding it as you've got to know it is under Camino or you might miss it. But this isn't a place to be missed.
Service was attentive but discrete. Helpful waitress guides you through the tapas and cava offerings. We ordered a'la carte but there is a prix fix menu option but that seemed a bit pricy. Tapas isn't for the famished as the portions are small, the flavors bold, and the costs a bit higher than if you went for a fancy dinner of entrees. But the variety, flavor, and presentation are what rules and Copa does well on all fronts.
The pairings of cava, and the varieties on hand, make this a unique tapas experience. Worth repeated visits. Only thing to comment on is that the place is small with a barrel ceiling so acoustics can be a challenge if you are trying to hold a more serious discussion; not an issue in my book but something folks might care about. But for a good time you won't go wrong.
