The well-heeled burghers of Wandsworth should feel blessed to have a cocktail bar of this calibre: Stillwater struts its stuff with innovative cocktails that wouldn't look out of place in Brewer Street or Shoreditch, and the vibe isn’t that different either. Try your luck with their signature Piña Colada Old Fashioned, which basically replaces the cream with palm sugar and bitters or a Stillwater Cobbler (Tio Pepe Fino and orange juice with a touch of sweet Solerno blood-orange liqueur and a Pedro Ximénez float). And for an extra quid, you can chase it down with an Espresso Martini shot. There’s also a trio of beers and a short wine list chosen by TV’s Joe Wadsack. To go with the drinks, Stillwater offers a menu of down-home Cajun food ranging from boudin bites with buttermilk ranch dip or blackened chicken Caesar salad to Bayou fries, hush puppies and Lafayette legs.
