This all-day Italian restaurant is not your average trattoria: it specialises in tigelli, ‘artisanal stuffed breads’ from the country’s Emilia Romagna region. We know what you’re thinking: just another sandwich shop then. However, we doubt you’ve seen ‘sandwiches’ like these elsewhere in London. There’s one that’s flavoured with mortadella foam and pistachio crumble, a burger-style tigella stuffed with beef, tomato confit, cocktail sauce and melted provolone, and another filled with grilled tuna steak, smoked tomatoes, thyme and fior di latte mozzarella, plus colourful, flavourful salads and moreish starters such as deep-fried gnocchi bites and jars of fresh seafood. The restaurant is modern and minimalist, with Perspex chairs, flashes of primary colours and counter seating where diners can see the bread being prepared. There’s even sports being shown on the big screens so you can catch Italy’s biggest matches.
