Poor service
We went to this Griffin Inn for a birthday meal with our family. We had been before but not for a long time. We waited a very long time for our food although the order was taken quickly but not in a very friendly manner. When it did at last come it was good except for my fried haddock which was overcooked to say the least! The other meals were good. We then ordered sweets and after 30 minutes they had still not arrived although we had 3 times asked for them to hurry up as we had to go to another appointment by this time. It was now 21/2 hrs after we got there. Our second drink order of 1 beer did not arrive until we asked again. It seemed to us that there were 2 staff trying to do all the work and the manager was not aware of a problem until we pointed out we were very unhappy. To be fair the manager did adjust our bill for us but we had to leave with our meal half complete. We thought it was even worse as there were 3 young children with us so the waiters ought to have seen how upset we were all getting.
