Hasn’t rated any restaurants this year.

Su Sazzagoni (136 Lauriston Road, London, E9 7LH)

Lovely little restaurant. They had run out of their special Sardinian dessert which seemed strange. The food was very good, not amazing but good. The wine was delicious. £100 for a meal for two though with shared starters and desserts. I think that is quite steep.

Tapas Brindisa (46 Broadwick Street, London, W1F 7AF)

Buzzing and noisy on a Saturday night, so to be expected. They had run out of the smoked chorizo which was our main reason for going so that was hugely disappointing. However, all the other food was wonderful as were the wines. A very enjoyable evening but expensive.

Pearl Liang (8 Sheldon Square, London, W2 6EZ)

Went for Dim Sum on Sunday after reading very good things about it on foody blogs. It was excellent and very good value for money. It is in an office/residential development so all new but once in the restaurant you wouldn't know this. I would certainly return if I was in the area.

The Old Brewery (bar) (The Pepys Building, The Old Royal Naval College, London, SE10 9LW)

Fantastic choice on beers. Delicious starter. Just marking them down as I asked for a rare steak and it came well done. The room lacks atmosphere as it is so large but it is comfortable and the service was excellent. I would return for the beer and a bar snack.

Pizza East (56 Shoreditch High Street, London, E1 6JJ)

Great pizzas, very noisy, pack you in, feels like a factory. I would return at lunchtime when it is a bit quieter and the service might be better.
