Le Gavroche (43 Upper Brook Street, London, London, W1K 7QR) Amazing taste and textures from the tasting menu at Le Gavroche – truly indulgent and every mouthful pure delight. The food was just exquisite, the cheese souffle was tremendous, not just in taste but calories too, the fois gras and duck pancake was delicious with the most incredible texture, the beef just melted in your mouth joined with a beautifully rich parsnip puree. All eight courses were wonderful with a superb cheese board on top. Staff attentive, friendly and knowledgeable as always. Price, expensive but boy its worth spoiling yourself once in a while and this is just the place to do it. We have been to many other so called “top” restaurants where the quality and flavours are nowhere near the standards at Le Gavroche, yet the cost remarkably similar. Worth every penny and my partner agreed too!!! 4th Feb '09
