Tayyabs (83 Fieldgate Street, London, London, E1 1JU) I am honestly at a bit of a loss as to why this is such a popular restaurant. Getting there; and enduring a ninety minute queue amongst waiters ramming pushchairs into my ankles, small children running into you, and seeing various couples from the queue behind get seated ahead of you doesn’t quite compensate for the quality of the generic, but admittedly delicious meals. The atmosphere; as previous reviewers' have quite accurately described; is very much – get seated-order-eat-get ushered out as fast as possible – I was quite disappointed that this was no exaggeration. This restaurant does offer good value for money; however for the whole rushed eatery experience; there are better places in town – the same can be said for service, and food quality. It's most notable point, is the fact it's a BYO As I mentioned, the meals are delicious. I'd go back here in a flash – but only to collect a takeaway.
