Read the thread October 2009Hi,
I'm looking to take my boyfriend out for a fabulous birthday meal and trying to decide between The Greenhouse and Rousillon. Restaurants he's liked in the past include The Waterside inn and Le Gavroche. He is big into wine and will eat anything.
I would love to take him to Helen Darroze at Connaught but I just won't be able to stump up this year.
Also reading good things about the Square…
Any experiences you can share/tips v welcome!
Thanks More
Read the thread October 2009Have had this problem in the past. The first time I went to the Roux brasserie which was really good. Laid back, tasteful decoration and friendly service and not too ‘kiddie’ which a lot of restaurants seem to be at christmas.
I've also been to Gary Rhodes at the Cumberland which was fantastic, but less traditional with edgy design and full of a slightly younger crowd. Menu not all traditional but interesting and very tasty.
Think Galvin at Windows might do something Christmassy but probably is extortionate.
Hope this helps! More
Read the thread October 2009This has to be Sale e Pepe on Pavillion Road in Knightsbridge.
I have been there several times and can vouch for the fillet of sole and indeed the lamb both of which are fantastic. Service friendly, great atmosphere – can't rate highly enough. More
