Hakkasan Mayfair (17 Bruton Street, London, London, W1J 6QB)

My girlfriend and I went to Hakkasan at the weekend,
Our table was booked for 21.00pm, we arrived half an hour early as we wanted to try out the bar, as soon as we got there we were told the the table is ready and we can be escorted straight to the table.
This surprised me as I have been to Hanway place and normally you have to wait atleast 15- 20 minutes before being seated, this told me the restaurant isnt as busy as expected.
I had to be firm with the receptionsits as she wasnt taking no for an answer, we sat at the bar which is very pleasing to the eye and gives you a good overview of the upstairs restaurant. my girlfiend ordered a floating goddess cocktail , which was really delicious , my strawberry cocktail was a disapointment , a cheap strawbwerry dacquri with a fancy name and no alcohol!!
We moved downstairs, there were a few empty tables so try your luck last minute you might get in!
The sommelier topped up my wine glass with a milimetre of wine and then proceeded to walk away , he looked at me in shock when I ask if he could return and pour a little more into my glass. Overall the food was excellent and so was the service, the drinks let it down for me.

Aqua Nueva (Fifth Floor, 30 Argyll Street, London, London, W1B 3BR)

I wanted to see how this restaurant fared in comparrison to the morro restaurant , which is one of my favourite spanish restaurants. I went with my best friend , as we entered the top floor we I felt like we were worlds away from central London, what stunning decor.
The restaurants are completely different in size and decor, so I cant compare them in that way.
I will say that auqua nueva is a labyrinth of a restaurant and has lots of cream colours with a distinctive Mediterranean feel that really makes you feel relaxed and comfortable, I did prefer it to the other restaurant you walk by to go to the spanish one.
I think the Tapas bar is amazing, I havent seen ice sculptures like this in a restaurant before, its a must see and the chef is quite dishy , pardon the pun! he was really helpfull and prepared everything as we sat watching him.
I went for the langoustine carpaccio which was such a visual treat, my friend had the lamb chops with tarragon sauce. these dishes really stood out but on the whole a very pleasurable menu. The waiters were attentative and really nice. I have found my new spanish rstaurant.
