L'Anima (1 Snowden Street, London, London, EC2A 2DQ)

Editor's pick

A superb newcomer. Everything was spot on from the greeting at the door as we walked in to the last mouthful of a fluffy blueberry souffle. The spit-roast leg of lamb was full of flavour and came from a kitchen that clearly cares about its ingredients. Lovely Italian wine (we had a great bottle of Barolo). It’s not cheap, but it’s great value for money – polished on every front. Loved the chic decor too. Very handy for work lunches and dinners.
