The Sea Cow (37 Lordship Lane, London, London, SE22 8EW)

I have been to the Sea Cow in East Dulwich a few times now.

The restaurant itself offers freshly caught, sustainable fish and a good vibe, a traditional tasting fish and chip shop with a modern twist.

I was surprised when I had to share a table with other customers, but it's all part of the atmosphere they are trying to create.

I really like the way you can see the fresh fish on display at the front of the shop.

The meal comes in big portions, so always go for the small portion or medium if you can take it. The fish is nicely cooked, and is in a light, fresh batter.
The chips however, weren't as nice as I expected. They were okay but not spectacular. I recommend the mushy peas, they have a really wholesome taste and the tartare sauce is lovely and chunky.

I think they should open up the restaurant a little more, the size of the Sea Cow is tiny, hardly any space to move in and out of. It's always packed! They also offer take-away meals too.

Of course, I would consider going back but I'm in no particular rush.
