I went to Benja last night with my husband and I'd agree with the Squaremeal review…the menu is different but the food wasn't to standard that the prices on the menu suggest. I left feeling ripped off!! It cost nearly £90 for a meal for 2 with drinks which I don't mind paying if the food is worth it. I had duck in whiskey sauce which wasn't that nice pinky colour that you get when it's cooked just right. My husband's lamb steak in red curry paste was slightly overcooked too & he said it too sickly as well. Not bad enough to complain about but definitely not up to the £15 price tag. The service was good but not amazingly so. We sat downstair in what seemed like the bar rather than the restaurant & the decor & atomsphere were lovely…all blacks & reds with low lighting. In short, I've had better Thai food for less money & a higher standard of food for the price we paid! I wouldn't return.
