Bread Street Kitchen (One New Change, St Paul's, London, London, EC4M 9AF) A refreshing change to Ramsay's other restaurants, Bread Street Kitchen is a very large, open plan, Boston style high class bistro type restaurant. The interior is very well designed with quite impressive deails, perhaps slightly too large a space as on a quiet day can seem a little disconnected from the rest of London given the area. The food is amazing, two people in our group were delighted with the burgers and I enjoyed a sample of the various starters – Meatballs were the highlight for me. I love the walk-in format as most of his other restaurants you do need to book in advance. It has it's own bar in the downstairs street level entrance which looks amazing. Unfortunately not too much of a view (compared to it's neighbour – Barbecoa), but lots of natural light during the day. Definately worth a visit purely for inspiration on interior design!

Barbecoa (20 New Change Passage, London, EC4M 9AG) This is a very refreshing new restaurant situated right in the centre of town. The four of us really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here, and felt we could really take our time. The food is very tasty – a charcol / bbq flavour to every meal, which is so different and are great flavours all year round. The overall menu is quite rustic, consistent to Jamie's other restaurants which I love. We had the best table in the restaurant as we sat by the window right in front of St Paul's Cathedral which made the entire experience one worth remembering.

Marco Polo (6-7 Riverside Quarter, Eastfield Avenue, Bridge Road, London, SW18 1LP) It's a shame that this restaurant has been given such poor reviews below. As I live nearby I enjoyed walking up to this restaurant for a quiet bottle of wine and some pizza with my partner. The prawn entree in white wine sauce was fantastic, and the pizzas were excellent too. If you don't live in the area I'm not sure where you would park neraby, but the restaurant is in a lovely location right on the Thames so worth a visit in the warmer months if you enjoy alfresco dining.

Hush (8 Lancashire Court, London, W1S 1EY) Hush was a lovely venue to vist tucked away in a hidden little street just a short walk from Bond St Station. We started off in the bar upstairs while we waited for our table outside which was perfect. Though when the menu came out i was very disappointed to find not much of a range at all. The only thing that looked appealing to me was the dessert menu, as they had a wider range than usual places. The food arrived before our wine which was annoying after asking the waiter a few times where it was. And the service just got worse from there really. We watched a waitress walk off into a corner of the restaurant and go a bit crazy muttering to herself really angrily and standing there for ages thinking about it before she carried on with her work. I watched about 2 other tables complain to the waiters about where their meals were so I knew it wasn't just us that was having trouble. Then they didn't want to accept our voucher but eventually was ok with it. The food and service really lets this place down because it really is a fantastic place otherwise and quite unique. I love the various levels of the restaurant and the photos of celebrities on the walls before the toilets. But don't come here for the food or service!

Yum Yum Thai Restaurant (183-187 Stoke Newington High Street, London, N16 0LH) It's a shame there are such poor reviews below, but I think this restaurant is definately worth a try if you enjoy Thai Cuisine. I found the food simply delicious – and not one plate in our group of 4 was left with food still on it. Yum Yum make an excellent Chicken Pad Thai and I noticed other tables ordering the entree platter which looked amazing. I thought the service was fine, there were no issues at all, but the restaurant is quite big and it was very busy when we were there so i can see how things might slip in the below comments. The atmosphere and style of the restaurant is very authentic and enjoyed being seated in the Oriental Section where the very low tables are situated. The only thing that wasn't great about Yum Yum is it's location. It's not the easiest place to get to and get home from unless you live in that area. But if you enjoy a lovely, fresh and healthy thai meal then it's definately worth the mission.

Mr Wing (242 Old Brompton Road, London, SW5 0DE) The best thing about this restaurant is the food. Mr Wing delivers the very traditional favourite Chinese recipes, but cooked more healthily and without all the extra MSG. I have taken several lots of frends here and every time they have commented on how great the food is compared to other Chinese restaurants (much better than anywhere in China Town, London). I find it a little pricey, but don't mind paying with the quality of food that is presented every time. On a Saturday night they usually have a pianist or other musician which adds to the unique atmosphere. There are several great areas of the restaurant to sit in – my favourite being next to the bright blue fish tanks, but there are also cute little alcoves suitable for a group. I defiantely reccommend giving this restaurant a chance if you love your traditional chinese but don't want to walk out feeling horrible like you've had too much MSG. A nice modern Chinese restaurant but with traditional flavours.
