Oslo Court (Prince Albert Road (corner of Charlbert Street), London, NW8 7EN)

Not only do they have a comprehensive a la carte menu but there is a list of daily specials as long as your arm. Old fashioned favourites such as veal milanese and duck a l'orange are always lovingly prepared and served with copious amounts of vegetables. There is a small bar for pre-dinner drinks where they served great crudite to whet your appetite. Oslo Court isnt your average restaurant, being on the ground floor of a block of flats it is a little like stepping into somebody's 1980's pink living room! However, this all adds to the charm. The food is always excellent and seasonal, the staff are extrememly friendly and attentative, and the ambience is a mixture of family night out and Costa del Sol glamour. You certainly won't leave Oslo Court without feeling you have dined well and for that alone I would say it is excellent value.

Orrery (55 Marylebone High Street, London, W1U 5RB)

The food here is of top quality. The prices reflect this but the standard is one of the best in London and always delicious. This restaurant is not for the faint hearted when it comes to price however they do have fixed price lunch menus which are great value. We have been eating here for over 10 years and despite several changes in management it is always an enjoyable experience. The decor is clean and modern with a fabulous view over the Church gardens opposite, service is impeccable. If you are looking for somewhere special you can't beat the Orrery. They have a lovely summer terrace available for cocktails and snacks weather permitting and a comfortable modern bar for pre or after dinner drinks. My favourite London restaurant. Value for money is good albeit high end!
