Chez Patrick (7 Stratford Road, London, London, W8 6RF) I went for the fish soup to start which was a hearty, sturdy sort. If Anchovies aren't for you then maybe avoid it. However in these penny pinching times it was welcome – maybe even shocking – to be offered a second helping. For the main I went for the Beef Fillet. Delicious meat but the pepper sauce wasn't for me. Maybe a bit too buttery? Taste it before unloading on the plate. Dessert was a Mousse de Chocolat. The presentation must be tongue in cheek? Tasty nonetheless. Positive review here as the restaurant was a warm neighbourly place. The starter and main were generous and very good quality. Also the proprietor gets among the diners and is quick with advice. Bon appetit!
