Fig Bistro (169 Hemingford Road, London, London, N1 1DA) We went to Fig for a special celebration meal, and left feeling totally ripped off. Where shall I begin? Our glasses of wine and champagne were only half filled. The service was appalling. My husband had a passable main course, however my pigeon was burnt and only eaten because I was starving hungry. When we complained, the surly waitress contradicted us and was rather slow to offer any appeasement. In fact, she didn't. The bread was hard, bitter and toasted. The cheese took 15 minutes to arrive. The final bill? £88. For three glasses of wine, two main courses and a plate of cheese. We will never go back. Obviously.
