Barbecoa (20 New Change Passage, London, London, EC4M 9AG) Went their with somehow high expectations. Clearly a restaurant based on the idea of quantity over quality. It doesn't then help to be placed next to one of the tills, which means staff running around you constantly. Window table (for 4) next to us were seated with 2 people! Come on. Had the Rib eye meal for two. Good quality (not medium rare as ordered though) but overpriced. Calamari and pig cheeks good choices to an ok price. Pulled pork was also very tasty and in line with “canteen” prices. What made this night a night to forget, and means I wont come back, was the staff. Very unprofessional. Added items on the bill, lack of attention, rude and so forth. I dont know if staff quality comes with size of restaurant, but this was way below what you should expect. Have been to Bread Street Kitchen opposite. That's a better choice. And do check out Madison at the top level. Nice bar.
