York & Albany (127-129 Parkway, London, London, NW1 7PS) Have been there twice. First time was for dinner, when we were seated downstairs by the toilet and coffee machine. We said we weren't happy there and we were able to be moved upstairs, which was much better, but really quite dark in the corner – could just about read the menu. Food was excellent, I had the partridge, which was beautifully cooked. My husband had the lamb, but there was not a lot of it. Most enjoyable experience. Service was very good. Good value for money. Went a second time for lunch on a Saturday and we were seated in the restaurant upstairs by the window, which are the best seats there. Had the set menu, which was excellent, and also excellent value. I had the cod as a main – which was exceptional. Service was also very good. Have no complaints whatsoever (except for being seated by the toilet) and would recommend it to anyone, and go back time and time again. It's also nice to be able to leave the restaurant and sit in the comfortable lounge for a drink.
