Moro (34-36 Exmouth Market, London, EC1R 4QE) Excellent tapas menu. I have never tried the restaurant menu, but always sticked to the bar menu (been there over 5 times). A choice of wine is very extensive and suits all budgets. The place is always busy and buzzing with vibe, which creates a perfect atmosphere for a casual dinner at a local restaurant. As for recommendations – definitely try patatas bravas and tortilla! One of the best I've ever tried.

Mimino (197c Kensington High Street, London, W8 6BA) The restaurant is quite popular among Russians and British who had any experience of Russia or Gergia (be it business, tourism or friends). The cuisine is a mix between Georgian, Russian and Ukrainian. Adjarian Khachapuri were amazing, so was Khinkali (meat dumplings). Salad with Suluguni chese was too simple, but the chese was very tasty. There is good selection of Gergian wine which is perfect with this food because of it rich and fruity flavour. The interiour is quite generic, bearing little connection with the region, however simplicity has not impacted the total comfort and cosyness. The prices are reasonable, expect something like £70-90 per two with a bottle of wine.

Akari (196 Essex Road, London, N1 8LZ) The reastaurant is used to be a pub and the owners preserved most of the enterior. Food choice is quite good with focus on sushi and grilled dishes. I would also recommend Tempura Udon, which tastes very authentic (unlike in most high-street “Japanese” eateries). There is a small but nice choice of shochu (traditional Japanese spirit made of wheat, barley, buckweat or sweet potato, usually served on the rocks) and sake selection offers very decent quality wine. Japanese and European beer is on offer as well as wine, if you prefer those. All of that is very reasonably priced! Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try a trully authentic taste of traditional (without any upper-scale add-ons) Japanese food and drinks. It is also a very cosy place for a quiet evening meal for those, who leave near by.

Sake No Hana (23 St James's Street, London, SW1A 1HA) The place is huge, but looked a bit empty when I have visited it on for a weekend dinner. Waiting for the lift to get to the toilet can be quite irritating, however the interiour is very pleasant and original with lots of light wood, typical for restaurants in Japan. The choice of sake and Japanese whisky was very large and reasonably priced. The food was ok, however nothing special, though we did not order much, just some suchi, starters and miso soup, so maybe missed out the core specialities.

Hakkasan (8 Hanway Place, London, London, W1T 1HD) The food was trully delicious, especially the Seabass in black miso. Dim sum however was a bit disappointing and lacked flavour. The place is quite noisy in the evenings,so not the best choice for a romantic dinner. The other inconvenience is that the tables are rather close to each other, so you intimacy is somewhat ruined by people unwillingly able to hear your conversations.

Taqueria (139-143 Westbourne Grove, London, W11 2RS) Excellent Mexican food for a quick meal, especially on weekend lunchtimes. Food is being prepared very quickly, while you enjoy nice chilled bottle of Negra Modela dark beer. The food is very tasty and authentic, menu is pretty extensive, but definitely not expensive. Top class for a casual, tasty and unpretentious meal!
