Zizzi Surbiton (38 Victoria Road, London, London, KT6 4JL)

Great atmosphere, I think this Zizzi's in a converted bank which adds to it's character. Nice cosy place, nic ein Winter.

Zizzi Hampton Court (1 Bridge Road, London, London, KT8 9EU)

It's difficult to say whether this Zizzis is good or bad really. Overall I'd say it was ‘good’, obviously with a chain restaurant they're all pretty much the same apart from the staff (which seem to change quite a lot in the Zizzis in Hamp. Crt.) However, everytime I've gone, staff have been nice, polite, helpful and the food has always been fantastic. The atmosphere in this Zizzi is kind of average which is silly really considering the view of the Thames and Hampton Court Palace, but I prefer the one in Surbiton as that one seems abit more ‘cosy’ whereas this one is very open and I think the new flooring makes it very LOUD. If there are a few families with children or a couple of groups of people suddenly you find yourselves shouting at eachother. But like I said the service, food, price and atmosphere are always very good.
However I have to say there have been a couple of occasions where i have been let down. My partner and I went there a few months ago and just the two of us walked in and said "We've booked a table for 8″ – considering it was ten to 8 we assumed they knew what we meant. However, one of the waiters (who was quite obviusly under the influence of something…) told us to wait (even though it was fairly empty). After about 20 mins of waiting another guy who worked there (the manager I think) came up and asked what we were waiting for. We replied we booked a table for 8pm…He looked at the other waiter who said, “Ohhhhhh I thoughtttt youuuu meannnttttt eighttttt peopleeeee mannnnnn”. (unprofessional…) SO therefore we were seated at a TABLE FOR TWO.
Unfortunately after that, this idiot of a waiter was OUR waiter. My partner asked for a cider WHICH WAS ON THE MENU, to which this waiter replied, “That sounds nice mannn but we don't have ciderrr on our menu…” my partner replied, “But it's ON the menu…” He then wondered off and spoke to the barman and then came back to tell us there WAS INFACT cider which took at while.
Fortuntely the food came on time etc but when… More

Carluccio's Kingston Charter Quay (Charter Quay, London, London, KT1 1HT)

My partner and I went to Carluccios in Kingston a few weeks ago on a really hot Saturday.
Despite them being absolutely packed, the waiter's were calm & efficient and as soon as we were seated the service was excellent.
The waiter we had in particular offered advice on food and drink and we had a lovely sharing platter which was just the right amount and variety of food. We also had two glasses of freshly squeezed lemonade and two peach bellinis. We also had a desert to share. All this came to a fair price, bellinis were lovely and fairly cheap as far as bellinis go- they were not flat or anything.
I was overall very impressed as usually on a busy, hot. summers day, restaurants and waiters can get quite flustered. Also understandably, the food and drink can take a lot longer or just not arrive full stop. However, the waiters and waitresses were great, food and dirnk came quickly and there were no mistakes.
Definately reccommended.

Las Iguanas Royal Festival Hall (Unit 14, Festival Terrace, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, London, SE1 8XX)

My partner and I visited Las Iguanas around February/March time this year. We decided to walk down the river, via Southwark and eat in the area. We first went into an Italian place a few doors from Las Iguanas (can't remember the name and can't find it for the life of me) but the service/atmosphere/price etc were awful.
Therefore we left and went in Las Inguanas instead, which was ten times better. Despite being really busy, we were seated immediately and the service was FAST. Food and Drink menu are both GREAT with a wide selction. I've forgotton what cocktail we had but it was DELICIOUS, and there are loads of them! Food was great also as I said. The place was CLEAN with a lively & unique atmosphere. Ideal for families I guess but also fun for couples too!! I will be going back!
