Read the thread October 2010Fantastic Ireland supplement, creative and informative! Inspired me to consider an event there in 2011! More
Read the thread July 2010Advice on e-marketing would be good, I feel like I am being left behind! Help More
Read the thread July 2010Chelsea flower show was good, though I think I prefer Hampton Court as more spacious. Ascot is a wonderful occasion and the hospitality was exceptional. But the best for me Wimbledon, you are up close and personal and it is England at it's very best. More
Read the thread June 2010I have no idea how I would approach a ‘vibrant’ dress code! I can just about come to terms with smart casual but if a man wants to be taken seriously and attend an event don't make it any more difficult for them to accept the invitation. I urge anyone trying to organise an event to attract corporate buyers don't try and be too clever, it is up to the event organise to show how creative they can be not the guests. Some important people may simply not attend! More
Read the thread June 2010Things may have changed but when I ran a bar a few years ago, if the glass didn't indicate the measure and you served wine by the glass it was a legal requirement to measure out the wine. Maybe you should see it as a measure of their professionalism and at least you know you aren't being short changed. They could be a little bit more discreet and if they have got everything else right which it sounds like they have I suggest buy a bottle next time. More
Read the thread May 2010I am taking a small group to Wimbledon next month, I invited guests by email, but I have been surprised by the number of guests who have failed to reply. Is it OK to invite by email? Do people in the City get so many invites to different events that Corporate Hospitality at Wimbledon doesn't even merit a response? More
Read the thread April 2010I have just heard about “Meeting in a Box” sundialgroup.com
/meetinginabox/ activities I have looked on the website and there are some good ideas to include a canape or cocktail challenge. What I like best is the way it has been costed at different locations. Worth having a look at the website. I also think Center Parcs run some fantastic teambuilding events sure to develop some new skills. More
Read the thread April 2010I have just spent the weekend at Hambleton Hall, wonderful setting overlooking Rutland Water and amazing food from Aaron Patterson and his team, a visit would certainly motivate your sales team! It is not a large hotel so I wouldn't imagine they get over run with Weddings. More
