This is without question the worst experience I have ever had in any London restaurant.
However, if you think being given the wrong main course (lamb vs venison) and then being asked if you know the difference(!!) is your idea of service, then this place is for you.
I would have been happy if they had just taken the meal off the bill as I suggested as I was with a party of eight. Alas, no. The ‘assistant manager’ wouldn't let it go. He decided to take his joke a little too far when he turned up at the table with a cut of both lamb and venison and asked if I could tell the difference. Speechless!
Being a rude little man is one thing, but out-doing Basil Fawlty on a professional scale is quite another.
I'd imagine one would get better service at KFC
