Read the thread November 2010Can anyone suggest a good DJ? My step sister is getting married next year and is urgently looking to book a DJ for her wedding. The wedding is at Babington House so they don't have to be London based. All suggestions and recommendations welcome.
Thanks,

Read the thread July 2010What about a seminar on how to get your A list guests to attend your event, any advice to make sure we get a good response to corporate invitations would be so helpful! More
Read the thread July 2010Thanks I'll give it a go! More
Read the thread July 2010Can anyone recommend a discreet hidden cocktail bar in Mayfair? We're in need of a fun, cocktail fuelled evening with a few friends, so we are looking for an unpretentious, yet energetic and frivoulous, cool drinking hole. Please advise? More
Read the thread January 2010Simon, this list is fantastic!
I agree with almost all of your entries but none of your top 10 cater for the East side of London. I think East Wintergarden is one of my top 10 venues, with the glass building providing plenty of natural daylight. It is the best venue for those of us located nearer the Isle of Dogs.
Also the Royal Albert Hall would be in my top 10, not only for the History but also flexibility, from showcasing circus acrobats to music and tennis legends, this is definitely in my top 3!
The Hurlingham Club is a good one too. There is nothing like a quintissentially English club, with superb grounds so close to the centre of town.
Good work! More
Read the thread December 2009I'm organising a Karaoke night in a week and am in desperate need of advice. Has anyone been to a good Karaoke bar in London recently? I heard Lucky Voice is good but haven't experienced it myself, can any one recommend them and what are the alternatives? More
Read the thread December 2009Is any area of London preferable? I have heard that Green & Red is good but it's not very central, and there is Café Pacifico. Or as it's a surprise does it have to be a Mexican restaurant? Somewhere like Smollenksy's has a super atmosphere and no doubt has Mexcian dishes on the menu. Having said that Wahaca is fantastic. If there's a large group of you I would get there early. More
Read the thread December 2009Yes! Bring them back. I love a good laaamp. Especially with the psychadellic colours. They can hypnotise you for hours, although that might not be good for getting in the party mood. But excellent for de-stressing pre-event organisers. Interestingly I have discovered Lava lamps have a strangely enchanting, soothing, almost mesmerizing effect on humans and cats. I think I'll get some for our Christmas party! More
Read the thread November 2009I agree Somerset House or Natural History Museum are the best, between the two it depends on where you want to go afterwards…do you want to be Central or in South Ken! More
Read the thread November 2009I love the Cinnamon Club but haven't been to The Square so will have to go! More
