Pasha (1 Gloucester Road, London, SW7 4PP) A meal at Pasha is more than just a dinner, it's an experience in itself! The decor sets a scene reminiscent of a Moroccan opium den and once you walk in you know you are in for a good evening. The well informed staff are on hand to recommend dishes and answer any questions someone who hasn't experienced Moroccan cuisine before may have. We had about 6 mezze to start, from Armenian sausage to prawn parcels and each of them were delicious. At £5 or £6 per mezze, the food here is not cheap, but I challenge you to leave unsatisfied. An array of mains are at your disposal and range from tagines to kebab-like skewered meat. Desserts are very rich and unlike many expensive Kensington restaurants, very large. The cocktails are funky and drinkable, albeit expensive at about £11 a time. Three courses plus cocktails and dessert will set you back £100, but this could increase dramatically depending on how many tenners you slip into the belly dancers' skirts…
