Grand Imperial (101 Buckingham Palace Road, London, SW1W 0SJ)

We went to Grand Imperial last week for a special dinner and we were very pleased with the overall meal and hospitality there. Its actually inside the Grosvenor which is being refurbished and looks amazing!

Before our meal we had a cocktail at the bar, the barman was charming and suggested a couple of his favourites including the ‘Gamble’ which has a new thing called boba in it. The jazz pianist was great- very romantic.

We had a selection of recommended chef's favourites including the signature roast duck for our main which is by far the best Ive eaten and dim sum – the prawns tossed in wasabi mayo were to die for. For dessert we tried the green tea brulee – a nice alternative to cake.
