Smiths of Smithfield (bar) (67-77 Charterhouse Street, London, EC1M 6HJ)

Great value for lunches, in particular the pies and scrumptions macaroni cheese topped with with smoked haddock. I have been again and again and will keep on going.

Rhodes Twenty Four (24th Floor, Tower 42, 25 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1HQ)

Stunning view as can be expected but a dissapointing menu and though the food is very well presented it's taste does not match it's appearance or price. One senses it's the view one is paying for and it is arguable it is worth it should you have cause to impress.

Pacific Oriental (52 Threadneedle Street, London, EC2R 8AY)

Palacial setting but why the huge screen showing sport?! Pricey menu and small portions but the sense is that you are paying for the location. Booths for bosses and secretaries to conduct their affiars are dotted about all over the place, making this an interesting place to people watch

Yauatcha (15 Broadwick Street, London, London, W1F 0DL)

Wonderful dim sum – reasonably priced considering their quality and taste. Cakes of extraordinary beauty. The tea is quite delicious, especially the Oolongs.
