I love going out for dinner and we normally go to different places because there are so many good choices in London but when they asked me “where would you like to go for mother's day” I answered without much thought, “Cipriani”. The food is great, it is italian home food, you could actually eat here without getting tired of it; the wines are great and the service…what can we say… there are as funny and charming as italians can be. They'll never say no to anything, they will always work out the way to make everybody happy, even finding a table when the restaurant is totally full. The atmosphere is buzzy, lively, colourful and quite weird sometimes, you get to see many rich people from different nationalities pile together in one room. In my view it's fun. The downside…the price…it's difficult to justify the number when the bill comes but… I still come back. Must have: the signature merengue cake, a sponge cake with merengue and cream, simple but extremely delicious; the veal milanese, my favourite, is amazing. MB
