I can honestly say we consider this to be the only Essex restaurant that offers good quality, inventive food in a convivial, sociable atmosphere. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, seasonal ingredients (local where possible) and excellent, good value wines (and beers), make this a must-go. My sister had a visitor from Singapore recently, so she brought her here rather than an overpriced London gastropub and neither of them were disappointed.
