L'Autre Pied (5-7 Blandford Street, London, London, W1U 3DB) I went wirth a friend only one week befor it got it's first michelin star and we were both disapointed. I had just completed 4 weeks work experience in the kitchen of it's sister restaurant ‘pied a terre’ so i was expecting a lot more than we got. The starters were both very good, and came out in ok time. However, this is where things went wrong, the main course took 40 minutes and both mains were only luke warm and i would've been more than happy to send them back except we were both hungry and did't want to wait another 40 minutes so just grinned and bared it. the desserts were both very good and resonably priced. All in all we spent £55 on a la carte food each and another £20 on wine each. i was severly disapointed and expected al ot more, and we shouldve just gone with the top tabloe menu which we saw a few people having. Since then, we went to the pearl bar and restaurant in holbourn which has no stars but had a much better evening but with MUCH better food and can't believe it has no stars. Any way, i would not recomment l'autre pied and i am certainly not going back!!
