Couture Dining Room (Pinewood Studios, Pinewood Road, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, SL0 0NH) I had heard that the restaurant at Pinewood was under new management and thought I would give it a try. To be honest I wasn't expecting that much but my wife and I and our 2 guests were incredibly pleasantly surprised. Driving in to the site and seeing the huge “Pinewood Studios” sign and the "007″ James Bond lot immediately adds to the sense of excitement. That would have been enough but when we were directed to a very attractive Georgian building with superb gardens and saw mock thatched buildings covered in snow in the grounds, where they were filming a new Harry Potter film our day was already made. The excitement of the whole experience gave us an appetite so we decided to eat. The dining room is very attractive and clearly most of the other diners were in the film business (unless my imagination was by this time running wild). Rodrigues the manager came and welcomed us and all the staff were young attractive and friendly. We had a really lovely meal and then the bill came to £9.95 a head for the food. Actually it was ridiculous for the meal that we had. It could easily have been 3 times the price and we still would nave been happy. This has to be one of the last great bargains that you can find. We're going back before they get wise and start charging the right price.
