Sushinho (312-314 King's Road, London, SW3 5UH) I’ve lived in London for more than 8 years and consider myself well versed in the culinary offerings of this great city. One drawback is that I seldom find myself pleasantly surprised by a new restaurant openings. Sushinho, however, gave me plenty to get excited about! First and foremost, the food was excellent. From the quality ingredients to the presentation, it’s evident that much thought went into this menu. Also, as a Brazilian / Japanese fusion restaurant it must be unique in London right now. Then to the drinks; the bar is stacked with very exciting bottles indeed. How about Suntory whiskey from Japan, as featured in the film “Lost in Translation”? I just had to have a glass of that! Also, the “Sakerinhias” were quite the novelty. I’m no wine expert, but there was an impressive spread of interesting looking vintages from all around the world. Finally, the décor; very relaxing, spacious seating arrangement and beautiful lighting. It’s so generous with space I wonder how they can turn a profit! Anyway, who cares! Go there and enjoy before it becomes inundated!
