Clos Maggiore (33 King Street, London, WC2E 8JD) The Restaurant was busy when we visited and we were seated upstairs. Excellent decor with ample space between tables. Roaring fire, which although gas was very welcoming. Service was outstanding with a close attention to detail. Attentive but not overbearing service. Excellent choice of bread. My wife had the lobster dish which was beautifully presented and a real depth of flavour. I had the lunch special of 2 courses and a half bottle of wine for approx £19. This was excellent value, the duck was beautifully cooked with a stunning sauce. The desserts were gorgeous and again beautifully presented. I cannot fault the meal for flavour or value and I will return. Next time I shall book early for a table in the conservatory area which looked lovely.
