Brasserie in the Park (Chichester Festival Theatre, Wellington Road, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 6AP) We were there for a post theatre ,wedding anniversay dinner. When we arrived the room was freezing, the aircon was out of control. The tables were all jumbled and unlaid in the centre of the room.We were shown to a table that was laid up on the outside near the window. The italian bread was dry and boring. I ordered grilled goats cheese as a starter. when it arrived it was very cold and had a rubbery top to it. I eventually got a waiter to take it back who seemed totally non- plussed about the return. Sometime later another cheese came out ,barely warm ,but not quite so rubbery, i tried it but gave up. waited for the main course of chicken, when it arrived all on the plate was brown !! No colour at all, anyway after the first mouthful it was a case of grabbing the water ,the sauce was so salty it was dire!!. I gave up then!!! The waiter came to clear the plates and asked if we would like desserts!!! You can imagine our response, we paid and left NEVER to return!!! I was embarressed to think that people come to Chichester for the theatre and dining experience ,have a great show and a then a dreadful meal.
