The restaurant looks good although a little impersonal and service was very attentive until we had a complaint. Two of our party ordered rib-eye steaks; one was excellent but the other was so full of gristle and sinew that it couldn't be cut with a knife let alone eaten. This was pointed out to the waitress who said she would inform the chef – she did not attend our table again for the rest of the meal and kept well out of our way. I found her as we were leaving and asked her what the chef had said; her reply was that all their meat came from the same source and should be consistent in quality, chef could not be expected to tell if one steak was of poor quality and so it was the luck of the draw if one customer got a bad cut. I asked if an apology was forthcoming – the answer was ‘no’. I am amazed that this is the attitude of a quality restaurant with high ambitions, we will not be going there again and I will suggest to anyone who asks that this is not an establishment to patronise. Such a pity as the rest of the meal was good.
