Harwood Arms (Walham Grove, London, London, SW6 1QR) Booked several weeks ahead for a special occasion but were placed at a table in the centre of the bar with intolerable noise levels. There were fourteen people sitting round a table for eight inches away from us. We could not hear ourselves speak. Mike Robinson was in and was totally indifferent to our distress when we spoke to him. One hour fifteen minutes after arriving with no food in sight we left. It is a greedy landlord that sits diners in the middle of a packed bar with noise at an intolerable level and then ignores them. 27/05/09 Second visit – this time stayed for the most special, relaxed and magical evening ever thanks to Brett Graham and the staff of The Harwood Arms – David thank you. I won't list menus, prices, wines or describe the decor – these have been annotated here in abundance, I will just say that from the minute myself and my two daughters set foot in the Harwood Arms Saturday night 23 rd May to the moment we reluctantly left and set foot in the real world we had the most exquisite eating experience ever granted to womankind! Ambience – tremendous, wit, charm and attentiveness of staff – tremendous – food – tremendous, wines – tremendous. I am being boring – sorry but if food be the music of love (sorry Shakespeare) – play on!
