I'm a bit of a country mouse, but a true theatre buff-my biggest treat is to head for London, see a play, then eat and, more importantly drink with friends/family before heading home.
I eat out quite a bit, as now my sons have flown the nest, I don't do cooking so much. Even a sandwich is more enjoyable when it's prepared by someone else, and there's no washing up afterwards!
In London, Joe Allens, Sheekeys and The French House. At home, The Inn at Welland and The Butchers Arms at Eldersfield. I also love all Jamie's restaurants.
Fillet steak with a dolcelatte sauce, skinny fries and lots and lots of Prosecco. :)
