Though the food here is excellent, this is not why I go here. Yes, it is the wine collection. It is superb. The service is very good, and very willing to help you pick the right wine for you. If you love good wine then it is absolutely impossible not to enjoy an evening here.

Pho Clerkenwell (86 St John Street, London, London, EC1M 4EH)

Absolutely wonderful little cafe in Clerkenwell. I've been going here for three years, more days of the week than not. It's delicious, healthy, and fast (maybe not on Fridays, but still not bad). The soups are to die for.. You've got to try to believe.. Deserves all the praise it gets!

Market Place (11-13 Market Place, London, W1W 8AH)

If you are in the area and need a quick drink this place will do, but only if you can't be bothered to walk a few more minutes to a decent pub. It is very average. There's nothing particularly wrong with, but nothing particularly good about it either. Five minutes further north are several nice little pubs with better atmosphere and drinks.

The Green Man (36 Riding House Street, London, W1W 7EP)

There are so many good pubs in London that you never really need to go to the same one twice, but this one is worth visiting more than once, because as SquareMeal have said, there is a fantastic selection of cider. So if you have that need to get on the cider for the evening, then this is a great little pub to visit. It's just far enough away from the busyness of Goodge St and Oxford Circus too which makes it nicer than others in the area. Well worth a visit.
