Blue Elephant (The Boulevard, Imperial Wharf, Townmead Road, London, SW6 2UB)

We were put on a table the furthest from the food (self service) with children around us, whose parents seemed completely oblivious to their offspring's screaming. We moved table which was great, but the food? Having returned from Thailand just 2 months ago, the offering was an insult to Thailand and the Blue Elephant of Fulham.

Bland restaurant, dull food, and an insult to be charged service when it is a buffet (self service). And what of the beautifull friendly staff that we have been accustomed to being served by? Nowhere to be seen.

A BIG sorry, but no way would I ever go back, even if it was for free.

BTW it took more than 20 minutes between ordering cocktails & delivery of same

Santa Maria Del Sur (129 Queenstown Road, London, SW8 3RH)

We have eaten cheap, we have eaten expensive, I have just been to Santa Maria Del Sur for Sunday lunch with my wife to celebrate the last day of possibly the worst month of my life. And what a delight, steak cooked medium rare to rare, a lovely bottle of Zuccardi Serie A 2007, relaxed, friendly and attentive staff, all with huge smiles.
Thank you, thank you, and for the divine digestif that wiped the smiles back on our faces. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this restaurant.

Roka (37 Charlotte Street, London, W1T 1RR)

My wife brought me here for a birthday lunch today. I've had the pleasure of dining here before, but the premium tasting menu was DIVINE (yes there is a God). No dish failed to excite the taste buds, it is difficult to say what was best, such competition between dishes. The oysters, lamb, lobster dumplings (we would like to have had more an more of them), quail… it goes on.
Roka is for foodies, on weekends, for families, a delightful atmosphere. I prefer it to Zuma & Nobu
Thank you all.
Yes, we will be back

Nobu London at the Metropolitan Hotel (Metropolitan Hotel, 19 Old Park Lane, London, W1K 1LB)

Have been four times now and also New York (mid town) once and Berkeley Street once. Park Lane may have bland decor, but the food for which we go is faultless. It stands a mile higher than the others we have visited. Well done
