Darleys (Darley Abbey Mill, Darley Abbey, Derby Derbyshire, DE22 1DZ) Nice food and drink, the staff, although sweet, need to be a bit more switched on.

Oslo Court (Prince Albert Road (corner of Charlbert Street), London, NW8 7EN) Overlook the dated salmon pink look in a flat block and you will receive a warm welcome inside. the portions are huge (starters are as big as mains), staff (specially the camp dessert expert) are friendly. it seemed very popular with people celebrating birthdays.

Was expecting a bit more style. The sommelier seemed almost sad, and the food although fine, was nothing to rush back to.

Le Gavroche (43 Upper Brook Street, London, London, W1K 7QR) Very elegant, slightly old fashioned (but that is the charm; such a lady gets menu without the price), lovely cutlery, attentive staff.

Hakkasan (8 Hanway Place, London, London, W1T 1HD) A bit disappointing after frequently visiting the new hakkasan in mayfair, this hakkasan seem to have lost the edge. The taste of food was great but the waitress's was acting like its a chinese takeaway. she cleared the soup bowl before i could even finish it, brought the orders separately and was very eager to present the bill. I think i will stick to the hakkasan mayfair and not go back to this one.

Phoenix Palace (5 Glentworth Street, London, NW1 5PG) Amazing food, perhaps the best Chinese in London. I go there regularly and have taken friends there. All of my friends enjoyed the food every time.
