I've now been lucky enough to eat upstairs at the Bull twice and can't wait for my next opportunity to go back! Definetly the best cooking in the area using great local ingrediants cooking with flair and imagination. They always suggest getting there half an hour before your booking and do take advantage of this as you get to look through the menus at your leisure in a very warm and comfortable salon eating excellent canapies with a drink if you wish before going upstairs to the restaurant proper for the rest of your meal. I'd particularly recommend the Welsh black beef if its on the menu but both times I went the menu was almost entirely different (only one starter remained from my previous visit) and both times with excellently seasonal. I think the price is very reasonable:- Canapies, Amuse Bouche, Starter, Main, Pre Desert and Desert for £38.50 its only a little more than you'd pay in many far inferior places nearby and compared to ‘city’ prices a bargain! All in all well worth the trip my only regret is I live too close to stay there. I've not tried the brasserie, I'm sure its fine but if you remember to book in advance I can't see why you'd want to eat there and miss out on the restaurant proper. Before finding ‘The Bull’ I was always (unfairly or not) pessimistic on North Wales restaurants finding them rarely to be either good value or exciting enough to want a second visit so having found somewhere that fits both I'm working hard on being a regular!
