Pollen Street Social (8-10 Pollen Street, London, London, W1S 1NQ) After so many hyped up new openings this year, I wasn't sure what to expect at PSS. Maze had been extremely enjoyable so expectations were high yet PSS managed to exceed them to the fullest. First up, the atmosphere at the restaurant was lively and there was a definite buzz about the place. It was busy but service was attentive, and there was lots of background noise from chatting customers. The menu was interesting and varied but what really stood out was the execution. The food was presented beautifully and every element of the dishes was tasty and delicious. It was a treat to the palate! I had the Scottish halibut, Catalan paella, sprouting broccoli, pork-ham fat, mussel stock which was excellent, as was the Traditional English rice pudding, hay ice-cream & lime jelly. Both are highly recommended. All in all, an extremely enjoyable evening and I look forward to our next visit.
